I went on a summer vacation with my boyfriend this year to Causey Mansikn B&B. We stayed in the Sussex room and it was absolutely stunning. The entire house is breath taking and not only is the house marvelous, but so is the couple that owns it! Joe and Jan were the most perfect hosts! Joe made the best French toast, and Jan was so nice having breakfast w us every morning. They both really helped us figure out were the best spots were. Their little dog Piper was so cute and really made it feel like home. Highly suggest staying at this beautiful home. I know I will be staying again!

It's an amazing property!! It's historic & eclectic. From the lighted stone walkways that lead you to a wonderland of gardens and statuary, to rooms in the mansion filled with antiquity and lovely collected pieces by the owners. Don't pass this up. It is a hidden gem.

Aside from the beautiful house and comfortable accommodations, Joey and Jan are friendly and fun to talk to. They went out of their way to host us and make the stay as comfortable as possible for my family and I. Joey's a great cook and Jan has created a beautiful, abundant garden that even in the earliest days of spring was already lush. I can only imagine how nice it is in summer. The garden has plenty of seating options and is big enough that you can get some alone time.

Downtown Milford is a lovely place for a stroll. You can walk to a little waterfront, antiques shops, cafes and restaurants. Or just admire the other historic homes in the area.

It's like sleeping in a museum! So much to look at, so many beautiful prints and ceramics to admire, so much history. Photos can't do it justice. This place is completely covered in fascinating antiques. I stayed in the country room and found out the bed to be one of the most comfortable beds ever, and I am someone with chronic back pain who can't sleep in most beds without waking up to regret it!

Great hidden Gem in Milford. Friendliest owners. Perfect for a quick getaway

Stayed at Causey Mansion while attending the Delaware State Fair in nearby Harrington. Very warm, inviting and comfortable place! The hosts are great and breakfast was delicious. We plan to visit again in the spring or fall and just spend a weekend around the grounds and town of Milford.

Finally, THE PUPS!!! I fell completely in love with the scruffy, sweet dogs who greeted us. I loved cuddling with them and walking around the garden with them.
