This therapist starts off helping you, but you are soon just a paycheck to her. Your treatment sessions will go from 45 minutes to an hour to 15-20 minutes. A number of unskilled interns come and go on a weekly basis in this office, and she uses them as unpaid OT assistants. She does not focus and retain any information that you provide to her, often not knowing what you are in there for, or she will ask how you are doing that day, and she will immediately forget what you just told her. Several weeks ago I was manhandled by one of her interns that set me back in progress by 8 months. Dissinger did not address my concerns, and just brushed the incident away which left me being unable to use my left hand and arm for 2 weeks. When I did return, her attitude had changed, and the sessions were shorter and shorter the last one being just 15 minutes long. When I saw Dissinger last week right before Thanksgiving, I told her I was thinking about going to go to BayHealth, as I thought I had come as far as I could with her treatment methods. Well what she did is inexcusable, I have multiple bruises on my arm from her fingers, she pinched each and every nerve between my fingers and my hand became grossly swollen, I am now unable to lay my hand flat, my entire arm is pins and needles, swollen from the bruises and I am in constant pain, and even more so when I try to extend my arm. I had to remove her hand from my arm three times as I yelped loudly from her intense arm therapy. Several times I told her, your hurting me, ok, this is enough, please stop. When my hand literally swelled in minutes, I told her, what did you do, I can't move them, she smiled and said, oh, that will go down, you will be fine, ok this is enough for you today. This from a person who I had considered a friend. I often told her some funny stories, while she was treating me with the ultrasound, and made her and her interns laugh, they were always happy to see me come in. I also went into detail about the constant flareups from my injuries that happened 5 years ago, as I thought she was concerned as my OT with improving my mobility. What I found when I asked her for my records is disgraceful. On the two occasions where I was hurt from her intern and from her, she leaves a scathing report on those dates on my medical record that is inconsistent with the other numerous times that I was there, and the two entries were both typed on the same date, riddled with spelling mistakes and are bordering on the fantastic. There is also little other information provided from my comments to her on other dates, so I was basically talking to myself, and the basic background of my injury, who my surgeon is, (I had given her his actual card) even the date of my injury which I have had to repeat over and over to her is incorrect. Instead on trying to correct the injury she gave to me, she instead tried to protect herself from any impending litigation that might ensue from her actions.
Tracy is a phenomenal therapist, always dedicated to her patients and finds the best options for treatments. She works really hard to make sure that everyone has a different approach to therapy! She is awesome!
